Ptosis Strips

Ptosis strips from FCI Ophthalmics have been developed to treat frontalis suspension in patients with significant ptosis and poor levator functioning. FCI Ptose-Up strips are easy to place and adjust, and they provide an excellent eyelid contour. The strips are made of a biocompatible, porous, inert, biointegratable, non-toxic, ready to use, non-allergenic material. FCI ptosis strips can be removed in the case of overcorrection, or if the patient experiences dry eye problems as a result of treatment.

Lid Weights for Lagophthalmos

Implantable eyelid weights from FCI Ophthalmics are used for the treatment of lagophthalmos. Thinprofile eyelid implants are 40 percent thinner than the original Contour™ eyelid implants. This provides a sleek, spherical curvature with tapered edges and smooth, rounded corners. For added freedom in suturing position, channel-free 1.0 mm holes are used. Although the time-tested Contour™ eyelid implants are still a highly effective treatment option, ThinProfile implants offer a more aesthetically pleasing treatment for lagophthalmos.

Tantalum Sizing Set for Eyelid Implants and External Eyelid Weighs

The tantalum sizing set is used for all eyelid implants and external eyelid weights. The proper weight should allow the eyelid to close without difficulties and induce a slight ptosis of no more than 1.0mm.

Blinkeze™ External Eyelid Weights with Treatment Kit

Blinkeze™ external eyelid weights provide those with lagophthalmos as a result of temporary facial paralysis or Bell’s palsy with an immediate and easy to apply treatment. Blinkeze™ can be quickly attached to the upper eyelid with the use of the MedDev EyeClose™ double-sided, hypoallergenic adhesive strips.

For the most effective external treatment of lagophthalmos, Blinkeze™ external eyelid weights provide continuous and reliable corneal protection with improved patient comfort. Wearing Blinkeze™ for as long as lagophthalmos persists decreases a patient’s reliance on ophthalmic ointments and lubricants, and the need for occlusion therapy may be eliminated.
