OTE – Orbital Tissue Expander
For the treatment of anophthalmia and microphthalmia. The OTE, consists of a flexible "balloon/expander" held in place by a titanium fixation plate that is anchored to the lateral orbital wall by screws. A slotted arm attached to the fixation plate, extends through a slot that is formed within the OTE. The OTE will be self-centered in the expanding socket as the orbit grows. A 30 gauge disposable hypodermic needle connected to a 1cc disposable syringe filled with sterile saline is inserted into the OTE through an injection port. The injection track seals upon the removal of the needle. Inflation of the OTE will affect pressure on the orbit of the patient.

Bioceramic Orbital Implants — Overview
With an improved structure for vascularization and integration that is biocompatible, bioinert, nontoxic, and nonallergenic, FCI bioceramic orbital implants are stable, easily handled, and less sticky than other alternatives.

Mesh-Wrapped Bioceramic Orbital Implants
Mesh-wrapped bioceramic orbital implants from FCI are made of porous, strong, non-brittle biomaterial alumina. The vinyl mesh wrapping incorporated in this type of orbital implant allows the muscles to be sutured directly to the implant. Furthermore, the extensive pore system of FCI mesh-wrapped implants enhances fibrovascular ingrowth, which prevents the implant from migrating, allows the secure attachment of extraocular muscles, and improves implant motility.

Perforated Conformers
Perforated conformers from FCI Ophthalmics maintain the conjunctival cul-de-sacs after enucleation or evisceration without hindering lid closure. The perforations allow drainage of secretions and administration of drops.
